Orascom Hotels and Development (OHD) is an integrated developer of resort towns in Egypt. It involves a vertically-integrated business model with various development fields including residential units, hotels and recreational facilities such as golf courses, town centers and marinas leisure, in addition to supporting infrastructure, such as hospitals, schools, utilities and all supporting infrastructure.
OHD currently owns a land bank of 45.9 million sqm and 25 hotels, 18 self-managed and 7 under management with a total of 5,955 rooms located on the Egyptian Red Sea Coast in Hurghada: El Gouna and Makadi; and Sinai in Taba: Taba Heights.
OHD also holds an 87.0% stake in Tamweel Mortgage and 80.0% stake in Tamweel leasing, a financial services companies providing mortgage, leasing and insurance, among other services.
Furthermore, Orascom Development Holding, the Group owning company, has several destinations under different stages of development to include Amoun Island, Byoum in Fayoum, Qena Gardens in Qena and Makadi in Egypt, Andermatt Swiss Alps in Switzerland, Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach in Oman, Lustica Bay in Montenegro, Chbika in Morocco, the Cove in UAE and Eco-Bos in the United Kingdom.
In addition, we have other destinations in the pipeline, to include, such as: As Sodah Island and City Walk in Oman. The group operates a total of 31 hotels with over 7,541 rooms and controls a land bank of approximately 100.22 million m2.
